how is your faith doing?
Feb 20, 2009
“So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.” Romans 10:17
Jesus told satan that he lived by every word that proceeded out of the mouth of God. Jesus has declared that he is your good shepherd and that he is speaking and that you are hearing. Glory! Lord, cause us to discern your voice to us today so that we can walk in faith.
“Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6
The Lord spoke to Ruby and I back in December to ask and thank Him each day for our daily bread. It has been amazing to watch his hand move on our behalf the past almost three months now. Back in the mid 80’s when I first opened our golf driving range the Lord has us do the same. The sales began with less than $50 a day coming in and in a few short years we watched our God bring in 2 to 3 thousand dollars a day. Our God can truly be trusted to take care of us in abundance.
Many mornings I would pull up in the parking lot of our range and before I could get out of my car the Lord would have birds land on the asphalt around my car and begin eating. The Lord would minister faith into my heart to believe Him for a good days business as I observed his feeding the birds.
“Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?” Matthew 6:26
The Lord has instructed me to encourage you embrace His ways of blessing you. I love this calling – because I get to be first fruits. Glory! The sharing that I will do with you in the coming months will come forth from His proving Himself strong on my behalf in order that I might share with you from an abundant living. We can be thankful that our God is not limited or bound by the world economy. His abundant heart is geared to pour out blessings on you that you will not be able to contain. Glory!
A couple of weeks ago the Lord spoke to me one evening about sowing and reaping. I feel the Lord is directing me to help all of us sow seed in such a way that we will reap a harvest of righteousness. I am preparing a list of saints that you can sow into their ministries. I received a letter this morning from a native minister in Uganda that has a desire for me to come and hold a few meetings among his people. I met this precious saint the first of this month one morning when I was sharing about our adventure of going to Israel.
Please pray with me about this simple plan of seed sowing into little unheard of ministries around the world. I am sure you might know of a person or group that can use a little seed sowing to help them accomplish the calling of God and again it is my desire to help you bring this person or group out to the body of Christ so they can be involved in blessing. This can grow into a tremendous blessing for folks.
My pastor friend, Vincent Morgan, who lives in New York and purchases quite a bit of our soap sent me the following testimony. “Homer, a teenage girl, the daughter of a very close friend of ours has had a terrible case of eczema on her arms for several years. She is a gifted cello player and singer and very beautiful. But she couldn’t show her arms. Last Sunday in church she pulled up her sleeves to show me that the eczema is now totally gone. There was only a faint sign of scarring, which is also disappearing. She combined the soap and medicine for a week, with little progress. Then she stopped using the medicine and the soap literally washed her problem away. As you would say, Glory!” www.jacobsspring.com
