THE PURPOSE OF PURPOSING
Apr 4, 2009
“Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness? But thanks be to God that though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching to which you were committed, and having been freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.” Romans 6:16-18
We are told in scripture that man looks at the outward but God looks at the inward or the heart. David had a heart to be more than a conqueror before he ever faced Goliath. David was a man after the heart of God. God has a heart to be more than a conqueror. Jesus met Joshua on the battle field at Jericho and declared to him that He is the Captain of the Host of the Army of God. Glory! How blessed we are to have a God after our own heart.
As I sit down to communicate with you from my own heart today my phone rang and it was from a woman who decided to lose weight using our HCG Sublingual. She told me that she had been on the formula for 21 days and has lost 20 pounds. She is the third person in the past two days to call and share their testimony of the awesome results in using our Sublingual formula. Our God is worthy to be praised and I truly give Him all the glory for causing this to work in our bodies.
“For indeed we have had good news preached to us, just as they also; but the word they heard did not profit them, because it was not united by faith in those who heard.” Hebrews 4:2
Of course I am spending a great deal of time these days on working to lose more weight and helping others lose unwanted weight but the bottom line with our walk in God is that what will work to help us lose weight will also help us in every aspect of our daily living. God’s ways are able to help us in what ever area of need we might have. So, you might be a skinny person and think you can skip my little lessons on losing weight but I promise you that if your in need of putting on weight what the Lord is showing me will also work for you.
“Let each one do just as he has purposed in his heart; not grudgingly or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed.” 2 Corinthians 8:7-8
Sure I know that this passage is primarily talking about giving but this is what we are to do in every area of our lives. - PURPOSE - Again, the Lord is looking at our hearts and if we have purposed in any area to do such and such we have the promise from God that he will give us the sufficiency we need to accomplish what we have purposed. The Lord tells us that he is looking for those who have turned their hearts towards him in order that he might prove himself powerful on their behalf.
If you are desiring to have a better relationship with someone or to be better at your job or to lose some weight or etc. just purpose in your heart to do what ever you desire and you have the promise of God that He will meet you and give you far beyond anything you might ask or think. Glory! Lord, I am asking you to help each one of us to reach out to you today and cry out for your loving touch. Thank you Lord for being a loving God who will extend your heart and hand to lead us down the right path. Amen and Amen. Blessings, Homer Owen www.jacobsspring.com
